The Community Foundation can assist you and your clients in achieving their goals in ways not available through other organizations or strategies. We partner with you. You stay in control of your clients’ financial relationships and we help you serve your clients’ charitable giving needs.

We offer a variety of fund types and can accept a wide assortment of simple and complex assets that give you and your clients flexibility in achieving their charitable goals.   • Year-end tax planning: By establishing a fund at the Community Foundation, your client can get an immediate tax deduction while setting aside money for future community benefit.

  • Retiring in comfort: Charitable annuities and trusts can provide an income stream during your client’s life and  also meet the charitable goals for his or her estate.

  • Sale of a business: Your client can reduce capital gains tax by using structured charitable gifts and planned giving strategies.

  • Substantial Retirement Plan Assets: Help your client minimize taxes so they can give more to their heirs while also achieving their charitable goals.

  • Private Foundation Alternative: A donor-advised fund is a simple and cost effective alternative to establishing a private foundation. The Community Foundation can provide a comparison showing advantages and disadvantages of private foundations, donor-advised funds and supporting organizations.

  • Closely held stock: A donor-advised fund or planned gift at the Community Foundation may make your client eligible for a fair market value income tax deduction of appreciated stock.
