Benefits of establishing a memorial fund at the Community Foundation:

• Contributions can be directed to the Community Foundation when funeral or other arrangements are being made, but the decision on the ultimate use of the funds collected can be deferred until later when the time is more appropriate.
  
  
• Contributions can ultimately be used to create a permanent endowment fund to support an issue or organization that was important to the deceased, and that fund can honor the deceased by carrying their name in perpetuity.
  
  
• Contributions can be collected online and the Community Foundation website can quickly have information about your memorial fund on its homepage.

Single memorial gifts are also a thoughtful way to honor the memory of a friend or loved one.A gift to our Community Fund in memory of someone should be accompanied by instructions for notifying the family of the deceased of your thoughtfulness.
