A study conducted by the RUPRI Center for Rural Entrepreneurship found that $22 billion will change hands from one generation to the next in Central New York before the start of the next decade. There are three places these funds can go: heirs, charity and taxes.

Many people choose to allocate their entire estate to their children, but as more and more people leave the communities where they were raised, much of this inherited wealth will leave Central New York. For our community to thrive, it is important that we reinvest back into the places where we earned our living and enjoyed a good life.

What if we joined together and pledged to leave something to our community?  Even something small, like 5%, could make an extraordinary difference.

View the data to see the potential amount that could be reinvested in your county.
