Jenna Christine Grieshaber Scholarship Fund

Jenna Christine Grieshaber was murdered in Albany in 1997 when she was 22. She is the namesake for Jenna’s Law in New York State. At that time, she was only weeks from graduating with her B.S. R.N. from Russell Sage College and had a wealth of opportunities before her. Smart, funny and independent, she had many friends and a family who miss her to this day.

This fund was established not only to assist students who are the first in their families to attend college but also to keep Jenna’s memory alive. It provides funding to On Point for College, a local nonprofit that helps students overcome the barriers to higher education. Many of the students who benefit are homeless, have no family support whatsoever, and find not only financial help but personal help from Jenna’s family.
