Give to Syracuse's Literacy Initiatives

The Literacy Coalition of Onondaga County (LCOC) collectively builds and supports community initiatives that improve literacy levels across the lifespan. By working to solve the problem of low literacy in Syracuse, these initiatives get at the root of educational, social and economic issues. The shared vision of the LCOC is to gain “100% Literacy through 100% Community Engagement.”

The LCOC is spearheading the Imagination Library program in various Syracuse neighborhoods. Imagination Library is designed to enhance kindergarten readiness strategies that are targeted, measurable and promote family literacy. Below are two giving options to support the LCOC or Syracuse's Imagination Library.

To learn more about how you can support LCOC and Imagination Library visit: www.onliteracy.org or their fiscal sponsor, United Way of CNY

The mission of the Literacy Coalition of Onondaga County is to build upon our heritage and collectively support community initiatives that raise literacy levels across the lifespan in Onondaga County.   Children under the age of five that live in Onondaga County and enrolled in Imagination Library are mailed a new age-appropriate book each month– at no cost to the family!
