2019-2020 Say Yes Report Card Released

Say Yes Syracuse recently released its 2019-2020 Report Card to demonstrate the positive impact it is having on students.

June 24, 2021 – Say Yes Syracuse recently released its 2019-2020 Report Card to demonstrate the positive impact the program is having on Syracuse City School District students by providing them new opportunities to pursue a higher education.

Here are a few recent highlights:

  • Since 2009, 4,900 Say Yes Syracuse scholars have enrolled in 2- and 4-year colleges and universities after high school graduation.
  • A total of $12 million Say Yes scholarship funds have been distributed to put towards the cost of students’ higher education.
  • The graduation rate of Black, Latino and Asian students in the Syracuse City School District (SCSD) met or exceeded that of White students, signaling that the program is helping students break through challenges historically caused by systemic racism.
  • The SCSD graduation rate increased by 26% over the past ten years from 45% in 2010 to 71% in 2020.
