We asked our donor-advised fundholders why they chose to give to the COVID-19 Community Support Fund during this crisis. Here’s what the Borer Family had to say:

Bob and Toni are fundholders at the Community Foundation and Bob is a former board member. Bob is a fifth-generation Syracusan with deep roots in the philanthropic and business community.

The Waldmans are fundholders at the Community Foundation and experienced family business owners.

“Giving Back” has always been the culture at Hueber-Breuer, so it was a natural response to give during the COVID-19 pandemic call to action.

Madelyn Hornstein is the CEO of Dermody, Burke & Brown, CPAs, LLC and a Community Foundation fundholder. She is also a member of the Professional Advisors’ Council and formerly CNYCF Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee.

Steve and Elaine Jacobs are Community Foundation fundholders and Legacy Society members. Steve is a member of the Development Committee, which he previously chaired, and is a former member of the Community Foundation’s Board of Directors.
