Across Central New York, pets bring joy and comfort to countless families. But for many, the rising cost of veterinary care and a shortage of affordable services make it difficult to give their animals the care they deserve.
The Leadership Classroom (TLC) has brought together grassroots groups that are active in improving the quality of life in their neighborhoods. Through monthly training sessions, TLC teaches the practical skills that help make stronger, more effective neighborhood and grassroots leaders.

In the eighth year of its Cortland County Bright Ideas grants program (Bright Ideas), the Central New York Community Foundation distributed $45,000 to nine nonprofit organizations serving residents of Cortland County. Each organization received a $5,000 grant.
