董事会主席致辞

今天,我们很高兴地宣布社区基金会的下一任领导人。

经过长达数月的全国性物色,纽约中部社区基金会董事会主席丹-费舍尔(Dan Fisher)欣然宣布,梅兰妮-利特尔约翰(Melanie Littlejohn)已被选为社区基金会的下一任总裁兼首席执行官。

我写这封信是想告诉大家一个令人振奋的消息。

在过去的八个月中,纽约中部社区基金会在全国范围内寻找下一任主席兼首席执行官。 今天,我们很高兴
宣布
社区基金会的下一任领导人。

梅兰妮-利特尔约翰(Melanie Littlejohn)在与纽约中部的社区居民建立真实联系和深入合作方面有着良好的记录。 通过在国家电网公司长期担任领导职务,以及对公民参与、慈善事业和导师工作的不懈努力,她对当地社区及其需求有了深入的了解和热情。

梅兰妮对纽约州中部的热情以及对服务型领导的执着追求,使她深深扎根于当地的慈善社区,在超过 15 个董事会和委员会任职。 其中包括在社区基金会,她曾在 2011-2013 年间担任董事会主席。 她的领导技能、在跨部门联盟建设方面的高水平合作经验以及了解人们现状的愿望,将对社区基金会和更大的社区产生重大影响。

在与任何候选人交谈之前,我们先与你们–基层和非营利组织领导人、捐赠者、政府官员以及社区基金会尽职尽责的工作人员和董事会成员–进行了交谈。 对话是坦诚的,并为这一过程提供了信息,吸引了来自全国各地充满热情和才华的候选人的极大兴趣。

我们认识到,如果要真正应对我们面临的巨大挑战,我们就必须在社区领导力方面采取更大胆的措施,尤其是在对社区转型至关重要的重大问题和影响深远的项目上。 我们相信,梅兰妮是领导我们完成下一阶段工作的合适人选。

梅兰妮将于 2024 年 3 月 1 日正式加入社区基金会。 在此之前,托马斯-格里菲斯(Thomas Griffith)将继续担任临时总裁兼首席执行官,我们将继续为纽约州中部的人民开展重要工作。
