Community Foundation Partners with Resilia to Strengthen Nonprofits Serving Historically Excluded Communities

A new partnership between the Community Foundation and Resilia will support 25 organizations in the Central New York area.

Resilia, a social impact organization, and the Central New York Community Foundation (CNYCF) have come together to strengthen Central New York based BIPOC-led/serving, LGBTQ+, and disability-serving nonprofit organizations.

Through this partnership, Resilia will offer 25 Central New York nonprofits access to its exclusive online platform. Resilia offers technology and 1:1 coaching to support effectiveness, creativity, and workflow in nonprofits across the country. The selected organizations will have access to a suite of on-demand tools and resources to support organizational growth and impact, which include:

  1. Online trainings and educational materials on fundraising, board management and more

  2. 40+ downloadable and customizable templates including a sample fundraiser plan, elevator pitch, bylaws template, 4-part strategic plan template among others

  3. 1:1 nonprofit coaching on core functions like fundraising, program management, storytelling, leadership development, board engagement, among others

  4. Tools to capture program outputs, outcomes and impact narratives

  5. In-platform grants database of 60,000 grantmakers and 750,000 grant awards to support diversifying funds and increasing your mission’s impact

“We are excited to offer a new capacity-building resource to local nonprofit organizations in partnership with Resilia,” said Qiana Williams, program officer at CNYCF. “The ongoing support and tools offered through the program will help our community’s vital organizations develop their boards, raise funds and tell stories that will help them have a greater impact with the populations they serve.”

“Our newest partnership with the Central New York Community Foundation is an ideal alliance. The organizations in CNYCF’s cohort share Resilia’s commitment to equity and align deeply with our ongoing mission to support the changemakers in historically excluded communities. Our tools, resources, and features were created to advance this critical work,” says Resilia founder and CEO Sevetri Wilson.

Through the partnership, Central New York Community Foundation has also joined Resilia’s flagship ELEVATE initiative, a first-of-its-kind national funders collaborative comprised of 29 funders and aimed at elevating the capacity and voices of BIPOC-led and BIPOC-serving grassroots organizations throughout the country. More information about Resilia’s Funder Program can be found here.
