Say Yes Syracuse 2023-2024 Report Card Released

See how the Say Yes Syracuse program is doing!

Say Yes Syracuse recently released its 2023-24 Report Card to demonstrate the positive outcomes that the program is having on Syracuse City School District students by providing them new opportunities to pursue a higher education.

Here are a few recent highlights:

  • Since 2009, 6,550 Say Yes Syracuse scholars have enrolled in 2- and 4-year colleges and universities after high school graduation.
  • A total of $15.7 million Say Yes scholarship funds have been distributed to put towards the cost of students’ higher education.
  • 40% of the SCSD Class of 2024 completed a Say Yes application and 80% of Say Yes applicants enrolled in college in Fall 2024.
  • 69% of Say Yes scholars attending 4-year public schools and 97% of scholars attending 4-year private schools continued to their second year.
  • 50% of Say Yes scholars attending 2-year public schools continued to their second year.
  • The SCSD graduation rate increased by 62% over the past 14 years from 45% in 2010 to 73% in 2024.
  • The 2024 graduation rate of Black, Latino and Asian/Pacific Islander students in the Syracuse City School District (SCSD) equaled that of White students, signaling that the program is playing a role in helping students break through challenges historically caused by systemic racism.
