Becas ofrecidas a los estudiantes de último curso que se gradúan

Se concederán dos becas de 3.100 dólares que podrán renovarse anualmente durante un máximo de 4 años (o 5 años sólo para ingeniería), siempre que los beneficiarios continúen matriculados a tiempo completo en su programa de estudios y mantengan un promedio académico acumulativo de 2,0 o superior.

La Fundación Comunitaria de Nueva York Central está aceptando solicitudes para la Beca Frederick K. Kilian Memorial 2024.

Se concederán dos becas de 3.100 dólares que podrán renovarse anualmente durante un máximo de 4 años (o 5 años sólo para ingeniería), siempre que los beneficiarios continúen matriculados a tiempo completo en su programa de estudios y mantengan un promedio académico acumulativo de 2,0 o superior. Los criterios de selección incluyen el rendimiento académico, el compromiso con el campo de estudio elegido y un servicio voluntario significativo en la comunidad.

Desde su creación, la Beca en Memoria de Kilian ha concedido más de 341.000 dólares en becas totales a 42 estudiantes locales.

“Varios de los beneficiarios de la beca Kilian han seguido carreras gratificantes aquí mismo, en la zona central de Nueva York”, dijo Ahmeed Turner, Vicepresidente de Becas y Apoyo al Estudiante; Director Ejecutivo de Say Yes Syracuse. “El impacto de este fondo ha sido notable”.

Los beneficiarios elegibles deben graduarse en un instituto del condado de Onondaga y haber sido aceptados en una institución acreditada de educación superior para cursar un programa de licenciatura en los campos de la ingeniería, la fabricación, la ciencia o la educación.

Los anteriores becarios han cursado carreras que van desde Ingeniería a Biología.

El Fondo de Becas Frederick K. Kilian Memorial se creó en 2003 en honor del difunto Frederick K. Kilian, fundador de Kilian Manufacturing Corp. en Siracusa.
