Como director financiero de la Fundación Comunitaria, tengo el honor de ofreceros algunas actualizaciones financieras y operativas de este último año:

  • En medio de un clima financiero difícil, el comité financiero de nuestro consejo trabajó diligentemente con nuestro asesor de inversiones para evaluar el rendimiento de nuestra cartera, la combinación estratégica de activos, la inflación y la política de gastos. Al mismo tiempo, nos centramos en preservar y aumentar el valor de los activos que se nos confían para garantizar la sostenibilidad a largo plazo de nuestro impacto.
  • Nuestro fondo de inversiones de Impacto Responsable Sostenible ha crecido de forma constante en los últimos 18 meses hasta alcanzar los 14 millones de dólares a 31 de marzo de 2023. Esto se debe a la generosidad de nuestros donantes y a la diligente administración de nuestras inversiones.
  • Nuestra asignación a diversos gestores de inversiones, que ya estaba muy por encima de las medias nacionales del sector, aumentó el pasado ejercicio del 15,4% al 17,7%, lo que demuestra nuestro compromiso con la equidad en el sector de la gestión de activos. Además, estamos orgullosos de que más del 10% de nuestros gastos de explotación hayan apoyado a empresas propiedad de minorías y mujeres.

De cara al futuro, nuestro nuevo plan estratégico nos llevará hasta la celebración de nuestro centenario en 2027. El pilar de Finanzas y Administración de este plan se titula “Administrar los recursos benéficos para el bien” y se centra en mantener nuestra fortaleza organizativa, cultivar las inversiones de impacto e infundir nuestro compromiso con la equidad a través de nuestras operaciones, inversiones, personal y gobernanza del consejo. Una gestión e inversión prudentes de nuestros recursos nos permitirán crecer y profundizar en nuestro trabajo actual, al tiempo que creamos nuevas oportunidades para influir en las vidas de los aquí presentes.
