ABOUT THIS EVENT:

Participants can expect to obtain a more thorough understanding of the independent financial statement audit process, and what to anticipate when working with an external auditor.  Topics will include reporting elements and the responsibilities of the auditor, as well as duties and responsibilities of management and those charged with governance.  Participants will become familiar with the required elements of a financial statement, and learn how to utilize the relevant data in a meaningful way when making decisions about the future of their Organization. Designed for individuals without an accounting background, this session will focus on key concepts and metrics to keep in mind when reviewing your organization’s finances. The workshop is planned to be highly interactive and include a discussion of examples.

Keeley is an Assurance Partner in our Public Sector & Not-for-Profit Industry, serving tax-exempt entities, including municipalities, school districts, not-for-profits, and various public authorities. She serves as a member of the Single Audit Advisory Committee and the Assurance Policy Committee and actively participates on the Assurance Transformation Team. Keeley has over 20 years of experience in auditing and accounting services. She has extensive knowledge and experience with both Financial Accounting Standards Board and Government Accounting Standards Board pronouncements, as well as federal compliance requirements, Government Auditing Standards, and single audits conducted in accordance with Uniform Guidance.

Keeley enjoys spending time with her two daughters on the lacrosse field. She loves to bake, travel, and spend time with friends and family. Committed to the Community, Keeley currently serves as the Treasurer for the Liverpool Youth Lacrosse Association and is an active board member and Treasurer for On Point for College.
