Community Foundation Announces New Board Members and Officers

The Central New York Community Foundation board of directors elected three new members and appointed new officers.

The Central New York Community Foundation board of directors elected three new members and appointed new officers.

The following new members were appointed to serve their first three-year term:

Stephen D. Fournier, Central New York Market President, Key Bank

Steve has been with Key for over 33 years, 16 as the president for the CNY market, and has served on numerous civic, nonprofit and community boards. He currently serves as board treasurer of CenterState CEO, as a member of the Say Yes Scholarship Council and as a board member of United Way of CNY. He also chairs the advisory board of Golisano Children’s Hospital.

Bea González, Vice President for Community Engagement and Special Assistant to the Chancellor, Syracuse University

As the leader of Syracuse University’s community investment efforts, Bea forges relationships by conceptualizing, creating and implementing strategies and partnerships to benefit the university, community stakeholders and students. Bea is a former member of the board of the Gifford Foundation and current member of the boards of Syracuse Stage and Onondaga Historical Association. She was elected President of the Syracuse Common Council and served as an elected member of the Syracuse City School District Board of Education.

Rebecca Bronfein Raphael, Director of Sales, Curio Wellness

In addition to serving as Director of Sales at Curio Wellness, Rebecca is the former director of private sales for Artsy, an online fine arts marketplace. She is a former board member of Crouse Health Foundation and former chair of the Young Leadership Committee for the Jewish Federation of Central New York.

The Community Foundation also announced its slate of officers for the upcoming year:

Casey Crabill, Ed.D, President, Onondaga Community College, will serve as Chair.

Daniel Fisher, Former Executive Vice President, Welch Allyn, will serve as Vice Chair.

Caragh D. Fahy, CFP®, President and Owner, Madison Financial Planning Group, will serve as Treasurer.

David A. Holstein, Esq., Member, Bousquet Holstein PLLC, serves as Compliance Officer.
