Bud and Nancy Haylor’s legacy of generosity has been closely tied to the Community Foundation since they opened a donor-advised fund in 1981. The Haylor Family Charitable Fund allowed them to easily give to causes they cared about throughout the year. The Haylors instructed that after they both passed away their DAF should become a designated fund supporting their favorite charities for a period of 20 years, and then transition to a Community Fund to help address whatever the region’s greatest needs will be at that time. Their foresight and commitment to the place they called home will serve generations of Central New Yorkers.
