This fund was created by Linda Hicks’ family and her friend, Cindy Squillace, after Linda’s baby boy passed away in 2002. The experience of losing Kevin Jaron (KJ) taught them that many families were not only faced with the death of their child, but also with expensive burial costs. It is the mission of this fund to assist bereaved families with some of the financial burdens they will face and to connect families with emotional support. With the help of outside donations, this fund provides assistance to bereaved parents in Onondaga County for expenses incurred after a miscarriage or loss of a baby or young child under two years of age. Expenses covered include headstones or cremations, and may also include burial assistance.
