LatinoAmericano Scholarship Fund

The LatinoAmericano Scholarship Fund was established in November 1996, in collaboration with members of the LatinoAmericano Festival. Originally named the Aurelia Crespo-Carlos La Vezzarri LatinoAmericano Scholarship to honor two Latinos who were important leaders in the community, criteria for the scholarship stated that the recipient should be “a Latino high school senior from Onondaga County who has a demonstrated financial need, done meaningful volunteer service in the community and has achieved academic success.” In 2018 the scholarship administration transitioned to On Point for College, and the award continues to provide financial support to Latino students through On Point, in keeping with the original purpose and intent of the scholarship fund.
