In 2007, after the passing of their daughter, Michele, Shirley and Carl West established a scholarship fund in her memory to encourage and assist other bright, driven young students to achieve and excel in the way that Michele had during her life.
They established this new fund to continue honoring Michele’s legacy by providing general support to the Cayuga Community Fund and other causes that were important to her.
