This fund was established in 2007 in memory of Michele West, a 1977 graduate of Union Springs Central School, to benefit a Union Springs student who is well-rounded and possesses exceptional academic and leadership qualities.
Requirements
Applicant must be graduating from Union Springs High school, pursuing degree (or field of study) in math, science and/or engineering, is in the top 20% of the class, and who demonstrates strong leadership qualities. Application must include three letters of recommendation (two from teachers and one from a professional/community member), an essay, and a high school transcript. One scholarship can be awarded and is renewable up to three years, pending the recipient provides proof of enrollment.
