If “growing” leadership and a public informed about agriculture are important to you, please join the NYS Agricultural Society Foundation as a donor. Learn about our primary initiatives below, and click here to visit the Foundation’s website for more information.
1. NYS Agricultural Society Annual Forum
One of the oldest organizations of its kind in the US, the NYS Agricultural Society was created to provide educational and networking opportunities for stakeholders in the agricultural supply chain. In 2021, the Society presents its 189th Annual Forum. In addition to sponsoring notable speakers and offering deep discussion on pressing issues, leaders in eight award categories are recognized for their achievements. Their leadership establishes a bar of excellence for peers to model, and their stories create better understanding and positive working relationships with neighbors, consumers, industry partners and government leaders.
2. Ambassador Scholars
Ages 18 to 25, Ambassadors are college students and/or newly employed young adults who have a passion for agriculture and are eager for professional development opportunities. Attending the Annual Forum is stop number one for this group. Mentoring, skill building, and networking are key program priorities.
3. Grassroots Programming
Working with partners throughout the state, the Foundation invests in programs and activities designed to maximize exposure to agriculture and career opportunities for junior high and older youth.
