Stacey and Pauline Lippincott embodied the values of what Tom Brokaw called “The Greatest Generation” — duty, honor, courage, service, love of family and country, and responsibility for others. High school sweethearts and lifelong residents of King Ferry, the couple graduated from King Ferry Central School in 1943. A month later, Stacey was drafted into the U.S. Army and served for more than two years in the Pacific during World War II before returning home in 1946. Pauline contributed to the war effort on the home front, and together they built a life defined by service, generosity, and community spirit. Pauline operated Pauline’s Beauty Shop for 25 years, where she was known as much for her kindness as her craft — always ready to lend a hand to neighbors in need. A founding volunteer of the King Ferry Food Pantry, she gave her time to countless community causes, from the PTA and local church to the King Ferry Historical Association. Stacey shared Pauline’s commitment, serving as a Little League coach, umpire, and founding member of several local golf leagues, while working in business management until his retirement in 1984. In honor Doug’s parents’ lifelong dedication to service and compassion, Doug and Andrea Lippincott established this fund to support the King Ferry Food Pantry and its mission to provide access to healthy food and resources for neighbors in need — continuing Pauline and Stacey’s legacy of “service above self.”
