The Emanuel & Lillian Slutzker Fund

Lillian Slutzker, originally from Hungary, was best known for owning Manny’s athletic apparel store on Marshall Street, which was named after her husband, Manny. Lillian passed away at the age of 98 in 2016. She was predeceased by her husband, whose struggle with Alzheimer’s disease inspired her to give to the local Alzheimer’s Association. Lillian was an avid supporter of a multitude of charitable organizations in Central New York. She was a board member of Temple Adath Yeshurun and a member of the Corinthian Club, the Cavalry Club, the Humane Society and the ASPCA. She created this fund to provide annual support to the Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter for research and general needs.
