Victor Paul Kalilec, a 1969 graduate of Cortland High School, was known for his unique ability to balance the practicality of engineering with the vision of an artist. Carrying a degree in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, Victor spent his career moving up into increasingly important engineering positions. He was an avid designer of audio equipment. Several of his pieces were displayed at the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Victor spent considerable time teaching young people the magic of design and the importance of developing the tools required to turn a vision into reality. This fund was established in Victor’s memory to support the science department and programming at Cortland High School.
