Originally established as an orphanage in 1845, Elmcrest offered children protection and safety. As time passed, and the population of orphans decreased, Elmcrest refocused its efforts to supporting children with psychological, emotional, and educational challenges.

Applicants were invited to submit a ‘bright idea’ for enhancing their nonprofit and explain how that idea will help the organization to better serve its community.

The Women’s Fund will award $5,000 grants to support programs and ideas that aim to better serve women and girls in the Central New York community.
