Melanie Littlejohn, president & CEO, gave remarks at several events, including at Beth Broadway’s celebration of retirement from Interfaith Works; a press conference announcing the $12 million bequest from the estate of Nicholas and Agnes Renzi of Cortland; the Association of Fundraising Professionals Central New York Chapter’s (AFP-CNY) National Philanthropy Day Breakfast; and EXALT Youth’s recent breakfast conversation.

The Black Equity and Excellence Fund was awarded the Corporate Community Supporter Award during the Advanced Student Resource Systems (ASRS) Community Engagement Benefit Reception.

Frank Ridzi, vice president of community, and Colby Cyrus, senior program manager, recently presented “Data to Action: How Funders Can Use Data to Drive Impact” at the New York Funders Alliance Conference in Buffalo, NY.

Danielle Johnson, senior director of grants & programs, presented to members of the Arts and Cultural Leadership Council of CNY (ACLA) on CNYCF, Community Grants, Capacity Building initiatives and new priority areas. She also presented to members of the New York Funders Alliance and Press Forward, about the importance of supporting local journalism.

Geri Corradino, human resources & operations officer, spoke at the Citizens Academy graduation, a program of FOCUS Greater Syracuse that educates participants on how local government works and how they can strengthen civic engagement in our community.

Melanie Littlejohn, president & CEO and Frank Ridzi, vice president of community investment, served as delegates for the City of Syracuse at the New York Federal Reserve Bank’s Making Missing Markets Communities Roundtable: Building a Community of Practice event in Manhattan in November.

Pragya Murphy, director of development & impact investing, completed a 9-year term of advisory board service at WISE Women’s Business Center (WISE WBC) where she chaired the Development Committee, raising brand awareness and fund development related events/seminars.

Dana Lyons-Canty, special projects officer, completed a six-month leadership development program through You Can’t Fail, Inc. for women of color as part of the program’s largest cohort to date, comprising 48 women.
