Free Capacity-Building Opportunity for Central New York Nonprofits

As we approach our 100-year anniversary in 2027, we are expanding our support for nonprofit and grassroots organizations across Central New York. Through an expanded partnership with Resilia, we will offer free capacity-building support to up to 250 organizations in five counties, helping them strengthen operations, plan for the future and increase their impact.

As we approach our 100-year anniversary in 2027, we are marking this milestone by investing even more deeply in the organizations that strengthen our communities. We are excited to announce an expanded partnership with Resilia, a national organization that helps nonprofits grow stronger, tell their stories more clearly and increase their impact.

This expanded partnership will launch a new five-county Capacity Builder Ecosystem, offering free support to up to 250 nonprofit and grassroots organizations across Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Oswego and Onondaga counties. Participating organizations will join a regional cohort and receive exclusive access to Resilia’s easy-to-use online platform, designed to meet nonprofits where they are and support day-to-day organizational needs.

Organizations selected for the 2026–2027 cohort will have access to tools and resources that help them build skills, plan for the future and secure funding, including:

  • Support to measure and communicate your organization’s impact

  • An online live learning lab and peer community with other local nonprofits

    • Includes group coaching and connection to national cohort

  • Quarterly check-ins to help track progress and goals

  • Evaluation and planning tools

  • Access to a large grants database with 60,000 funders and 750,000 past grant awards, helping organizations explore new funding opportunities

Nonprofit and grassroots organizations within Cayuga, Cortland, Madison, Oswego and Onondaga counties can enroll at no cost for the 2026–2027 cohort on a first-come, first-served basis. Organizations can enroll here.

Important Dates:

  • Enrollment opens: February 2, 2026
  • Rolling admission will continue until full
  • Cohort runs: June 1, 2026 – May 2027

While this is the largest Resilia offering we have ever made — both in number of organizations and geographic reach — we have partnered with Resilia since 2022. Since then, 59 local nonprofits have already taken part in earlier cohorts.

This expanded program is one of the ways we are celebrating our upcoming centennial, by making sure nonprofits across Central New York have the tools, support and connections they need to continue serving our communities for the next 100 years.
