Liz Hartman, senior director of finance, presented on financial systems improvements and shared insights at the annual Finance, Administration & Operations Group (FAOG) Conference.

Ahmeed Turner, vice president of scholarships & student success; executive director, Say Yes Syracuse, recently presented to a national audience of professionals from the Congressional Budget Office, higher education and government institutions. His presentation highlighted the process used to develop the local Syracuse College Attainment Network (SCAN) as part of the National College Attainment Network.

Kim Sadowski, vice president & chief financial officer, earned her certification in the Leadership Circle Profile.

Katrina Crocker, vice president of communications, sat on the steering committee for the development of Turn Two Communication’s Inaugural Communications Survey for Community Foundations that was released in September.

Monica Merante, senior director of philanthropic services, presented at AFP-CNY’s Ethics of Fundraising event, where she shared insights on honoring donor intent and privacy, protecting donor data and applying practical principles to guide ethical decision-making in donor relations.

Jan Lane, senior philanthropic advisor, wrote an article on charitable planning for the NAEPC Journal of Estate & Tax Planning. She also led a panel discussion with Cayuga County residents as part of Unity House’s For the Next Generation planned giving panel.

Darrell Buckingham, senior program officer, participated in the Philanthropy Together year-long cohort called Launchpad for Nonprofits, which equips participants with tools, knowledge, and connections to integrate giving circles into their work.
