This fund fuels the commitment to developing and launching new plays—particualrly those that amplify underrepresented artists. To date, Syracuse Stage has produced over a dozen world premiere productions, including a number of commissions and Broadway transfers. Integral to the fund is the Julie Lutz New Play Festival (formerly the Cold Read Festival), a bi-annual event that offers a rare, transparent glimpse into the creative process with readings of new works and works-in-progress, and panel discussions from local, national, and international playwrights. Your gift helps ensure that Syracuse Stage remains a critical incubator for the next generation of theatrical voices.
