The Cayuga Lake Watershed Network (CLWN) is dedicated to protecting the water quality, ecological health, scenic beauty and recreational value of Cayuga Lake and its 860-square-mile watershed in New York’s Finger Lakes region.
Founded in 1998, the organization works through science-based advocacy, public education, coalition leadership and community engagement. The CLWN plays a unique role as a convener among scientists, educators, governments and residents, helping address issues such as harmful algal blooms, invasive species prevention, clean water policy, watershed restoration and everyday stewardship efforts such as Lake Friendly Living and litter cleanups.
The organization established this fund to strengthen its long-term sustainability and ability to respond to changing environmental challenges. As the fund grows, it may help provide stability during periods of revenue fluctuation and support special projects, pilot programs or strategic opportunities that advance the organization’s mission.
