“When our clients show interest in charitable planning, we feel very comfortable referring them to the Community Foundation.”

Many of Christine and Emilee’s clients care about charity and want to incorporate support for the community in their estate plans. They can provide them with creative ways to tailor their plans to incorporate charitable giving, in large part thanks to the many customizable options that we offer.

“When our clients show interest in charitable planning, we feel very comfortable referring them to the Community Foundation,” said Christine. “Its knowledgeable staff members work closely with each client to create a personalized giving plan that allows them to support the causes they care about, often while also achieving tax advantages.”

We act as a steward for Christine and Emilee’s clients as we vet charitable organizations to ensure that money is being distributed wisely, sustaining its impact over time.

“They do all the legwork, which is a very valuable benefit for their clients,” said Emilee.

Through their engagement with us, they discovered that there is no limit to the new and innovative efforts being put forth in the CNY community. We offer a multitude of ways for this region’s generous residents to support these causes.

“The organization’s consistent commitment to the CNY community over its 90-year history gives us confidence in referring our clients,” said Christine.  “We know our clients are in good hands at the Community Foundation.”

The Central New York Community Foundation is a public charity established in 1927 that collects contributions from donors, manages them to grow over time and then distributes funding to local charities to help them thrive. It is the largest charitable foundation in Central New York with assets of more than $280 million and has invested more than $200 million in community improvement projects since its inception. As a grantmaker, civic leader, convener and sponsor of strategic initiatives, the Community Foundation strives to strengthen local nonprofits, encourage better understanding of the region and address the most critical issues of our time.
