The Bonnie McCabe Memorial Education Fund was established by Dr. John McCabe to honor his late wife’s lifelong commitment to education, learning and service. A resident of Cazenovia, Bonnie was an active community volunteer and a dedicated educator who believed deeply in helping students reach their full potential.
Trained as a math teacher, Bonnie taught at the high school and community college levels and tutored students from middle school through adulthood. She was known for her enthusiasm for learning and her ability to make mathematics approachable, often finding ways to turn everyday moments into opportunities for teaching and problem-solving.
The Bonnie McCabe Memorial Education Fund provides an annual distribution to Cazenovia High School to support the Bonnie McCabe Memorial Education Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to a graduating student who demonstrates community involvement, a commitment to helping others and an interest in pursuing a degree in education, with the goal of entering the teaching profession, continuing Bonnie’s dedication to education and community service.
