Charlotte Rudolph Ball was the daughter of the late Bernard George and Lena Rudolph. She was born in Utica, New York, but raised and lived the rest of her life in Syracuse. She graduated from Nottingham High School and attended the University of Michigan. In 1939, she married Donald Ball of Utica and they moved to Syracuse in 1941. As a homemaker, she raised three daughters and led an active life of charitable and voluntary activities. These included the Camp Fire Girls, the Lighthouse for the Blind and WCNY’s Read Out Program. Charlotte was a devoted wife, caring mother and loyal friend who saw the world through an insightful and moral lens. She was intelligent, honest and an inspiration to her loving family and friends. She established this fund to carry on her and Donald’s charitable legacies.
