Philip D. & Rita G. Rombach Fund

Philip D. Rombach and Rita G. Carpenter were married in 1971. Phil worked as a fabricator and welder at Syracuse China and later retired from Church & Dwight Company in 2006. Phil was a US Navy Veteran, member of the Half Shire Historical Society and served on the Town of Boylston Planning Board. Rita was also a member of the Half-Shire Historical Society and served on the Board of Directors representing the town of Boylston. Rita also did research for College Blue Book, worked as a processor for an insurance company in Syracuse and was an assessor for the town of Boylston for 18 years. She was a volunteer for the History Center at the Sandy Creek Town Hall, where she played a part in drafting the Sandy Creek-Boylston Farm Book. The couple created the Philip D. and Rita G. Rombach Fund to award annual scholarships to graduating seniors from Pulaski Academy and Sandy Creek High School who are pursuing college degrees in veterinary medicine, environmental sciences, or the trades of a millwright, welder, machinist, electrician or nurse.
