Jane Schum established this scholarship in 2018 in memory of her sister, Jean Lynch, who was a teacher in the Cicero-North Syracuse School District. Jean lived with a physical disability, and so to honor her perseverance and success, the Jean Hawley Lynch Scholarship was created.
Requirements
The primary criterion is that the applicant must be graduating from Cicero-North Syracuse High School, a female, and lives with a physical disability. If the primary criterion cannot be met, the selected student can be a female pursuing a career in education. One scholarship can be awarded.
