There’s a silent threat lurking in too many homes.

This animated PSA series follows a group of kids as they uncover The Lead Lurker—a hidden danger that can harm their health. Through storytelling, humor, and action, they show how to detect, fight, and prevent lead exposure in our homes. Watch each episode, learn the steps, and explore what you can do to keep your home lead-safe.

Why this Matters.

Lead is a toxic metal that hides in more places than you’d expect—like   old paint, drinking water, soil, and even household dust. Exposure can cause serious health problems for children including developmental delays, learning difficulties, and behavioral issues.
The good news?   Lead poisoning is 100% preventable. That’s why awareness and action are critical. Click here to connect to resources that will help keep you and your family safe.

The kids learn about the Lead Lurker and realize the danger might be closer than they think. But inside the storybook lies hope: a plan to stop it.

Following the steps in the book, the kids call for help and begin inspecting their home with a certified risk assessor. Lead hides in paint chips, soil, water—and the test results confirm the worst.

With guidance and action, the kids take the fight to the Lead Lurker—removing shoes, filtering water, cleaning surfaces, and eating healthy. Prevention becomes their superpower—and they spread the word to protect others too.
