Congratulations to our recently promoted Community Foundation staff members!

Applicants were invited to submit a ‘bright idea’ for enhancing their nonprofit and explain how that idea will help the organization to better serve its community.

The Women’s Fund will award $5,000 grants to support programs and ideas that aim to better serve women and girls in the Central New York community.

The Black Equity & Excellence Advisory Council is charged with reviewing grant proposals and making funding recommendations as well as identifying gaps and opportunities to create a more equitable and economically inclusive Central New York for the Black community.

Proposals are encouraged from a variety of program areas, including education, health, social services, arts and culture, civics, and preservation of historic resources.

Two scholarships of $3,050 will be awarded and may be renewable annually for up to 4 years (or 5 years for engineering only), subject to the recipients’ continued full-time matriculation in their program of study and maintenance of a 2.0 cumulative GPA or higher.

The Women’s Fund now has more than $1.2 million in total assets and has awarded nearly $450,000 in grants since inception.
