The Waldman Family stands together in their home

The Waldmans

The Waldmans are experienced family-business owners that have a donor-advised fund at the Community Foundation. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, they responded immediately by giving to the COVID-19 Community Support Fund during the crisis.

It had been a scary time for our community when COVID-19 hit, and the Waldmans felt an overwhelming need to help.

“We hoped to help bring some stability to those feeling uncertain during the pandemic,” they said.

When the Community Foundation and its partners created the COVID-19 Community Support Fund, the Waldmans directed money from their donor-advised fund to it without hesitation.

“This was the perfect opportunity to engage our children in our family giving while being responsive with grantmaking from our fund,” they said. “It feels good knowing that money from our fund will support nonprofit organizations working with communities who are disproportionately impacted by economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.”
